How We Partner with CTE Teachers

As a CTE teacher, you have unique challenges working with traditionally underserved students. Many times, these students lack context for how their interests in subjects like audio video production, journalism, animation, graphic design, coding, music and fashion can translate to viable careers within the creative economy.

We partner with CTE teachers to identify talented students, match them with trained mentors and professionals that lead enrichment activities, coordinate guest speakers, workplace tours and ultimately help students develop digital portfolios that can aid them in college and career opportunities. Teachers also benefit from E4 Youth’s standards aligned Employability CurriculumTM and hands on support from professional educators with over 40 years of combined experience working with these populations.

What Are Get Creative Enrichment Clubs?

Get Creative Clubs are supplemental enrichment activities that serve as a vital entry point into E4 Youth’s ecosystem of schools and industry partners. Led by coaches selected from E4 Youth’s pool of trained college mentors and industry professionals, the clubs focus on the broad areas of music, audio/video production, design, journalism and interactive development.

Every 90 – 120 minute class begins with an Employability Curriculum activity that helps students cultivate social emotional learning skills needed to flourish in the workplace. Then, students apply design thinking concepts as they collaborate on creative projects.

Coaches review their work and award micro-credentials that qualify students for industry access, job shadow, internship and apprenticeship opportunities with E4 Youth partners.
